September - October 2018

Fall here we come!! It is our favorite time of year and it has been another great fall to enjoy. October is by far our favorite month of the year. We always have lots of fun fall activities planned and of course we celebrate two very special birthdays this month!
At end of the month we enjoyed our annual trip to Jellystone which never disappoints! Between disconnecting from your routine, to hanging out with friends, to making smores, to playing in the lazy river, to some of the best trick or treating around, it just can't be beat for this stage in our lives. The girls were amped up to go trick or treating both at Jellystone and around the neighborhood (half the fun is handing out candy). Aubrey was Harley Quinn and Avery was Elsa. October is always packed with good memories.
In September we enjoyed a visit with Nana and Grandpa and then again in October for Halloween. We always have a fun visit.
We all also traveled to Florida to celebrate another wedding this year. Dad found the most wonderful lady who is a gem and we joined them all for their wedding on October 2nd. The girls were junior bridesmaids for the wedding. We really enjoyed our time, not just celebrating the wedding, but visiting with aunts and uncles and cousins (oh my!). We also got to spend the visit with Brian and his girlfriend Cathy which was a lot of fun. Overall, it was a great visit with lots of memories.

September 2018:
Baking Cinnamon rolls: As you know, we love to bake around here. This dessert was a fun treat, from making the dough to rolling it out, to adding cinnamon sugar, to cutting them up to bake them. The girls made the entire dessert from beginning to end.

Visit with Nana and Grandpa September 2018: We had another fun visit. Some memories include grandparent date night at Main Event, putt putt fun house, birthday celebration, and so much more!

October 2018:
Visit to Florida 2018: You would think that the get together was to spoil the girls, not for a wedding! Brian, Cathy, Jay, myself and the kids stayed in a cottage that was equipped with a pool, an in-law suite (for Brian and Cathy to catch a break from our crazy!) and was fully stocked with everything you could ever imagine from yours truly Dad and Sharon. To say we were well taken care of is an understatement.
We also had fun times visiting with Aunt Maida, Uncle Ron, Dante, and Aunt Dee Dee, Uncle Mike and James. It was a great pleasure to meet Sharon's two kids as well.
Professional pictures to come at a later date (at least on the Christmas card!). I was trying to not be in the way with the photographer and it turns out I don't have any pictures of the bride and groom except for at the cake table! They got some great professional pictures, which I hope to post in the future.

Joel and Leah's wedding photos (from May 2018): We previously shared photos from Joel and Leah's wedding (taken on our phones) but now we have the professional photographs (wow, they are awesome!). They had the most gorgeous and fun wedding. It was so special celebrating with them. We are so blessed by our family on both sides.

Aubrey and Avery turn 7!: Seven amazing years, definitely the best years of our lives. Aubrey and Avery bring so much joy and fun to every area of our life. The girls were set on a party followed by a sleepover to celebrate. We had 19 kids playing minute to win-it games in our backyard. Six kids stayed over for a sleepover. It was one fun packed party! The next day they enjoyed an afternoon with Uncle Israel, Aunt Aimee and Tessa at the Houston Zoo. They were spoiled with love and some of their favorite foods. For their birthday (yes the birthday lasted the whole weekend!), they kicked off the day with their favorite treat - monkey bread. We went to church, had a relaxing afternoon, went to their favorite pumpkin patch, went to their favorite dinner (Gringo's) and then watched a movie in the theater called Small foot. I would say it was a wonderful birthday weekend celebration!

Jellystone 2018: Fifth year trick or treating at Jellystone! It never dissapoints! The kids love this place and I got to be honest, it is my happy place too! SO much fun with friends and watching the kids have a blast. The kids are getting better and better at miniature golfing each year and they sure do love getting to trick or treat twice in a year! This year the Christie family joined us for the day and they had a fun time watching Tessa trick or treat for the first time too.

Halloween 2018: Trick or Treat!!
