July - August 2022

    We are in the middle of summer and boy is it HOT! It reminds me the year that I was pregnant which broke a record for the number of consecutive days over 100 degrees. We are trying to make the best of it and stay cool. 

     For July 4th, we got together with Aimee, Israel, and Tessa and enjoyed time at the pool, a scrumptious meal, and then our family went on to enjoy some awesome fireworks.  The fireworks show was awesome, but it was definitely a special kind of hot waiting for them! The kids of course were as cute as could be all dressed up in their festive outfits. I love it. 

     Aubrey was the first to have a broken bone between the twins. Unfortunately a roller-skating fall led to a broken wrist. It was a lot to adjust to and overcome but she is such a tough cookie. We hope it heals well and she will be her wild and crazy self again soon.  

    At the end of July we traveled to Florida to visit Grammy and Poppy at their house. We have not been there since their wedding 4 years ago so we were excited to do all the things. We had lots of fun including two beach days, a day at the waterpark, and an amusement park. We visited with my cousin James, and Aunt Maida, Uncle Ron, and Dante. We had lots of good food and fun times. We rounded off the trip with going to Harry Potter World in Florida. We met up with Olivia and her cousins and all had a great time. 

    August brought another visit with Nana and Grandpa. Highlights were back to school shopping, crafting, and making memories. And before we knew it, school was kicking off and the kids were entering 5th grade!! Aubrey has 4 switch teachers and Avery has 3 switch teachers. They definitely are most excited about lockers now that they are in middle school! I think we are all liking the later start, but it sure does make for a quick afternoon before we head to our activities for the evening. It is amazing how grown up they are and how responsible, mature, and beautiful these two little ladies have grown up to be. I love them with all my heart.
