First day of school for the 3rd grade is in the books! The girls had two "first days of school" because we started at home virtually and on Thursday they attended face to face instruction. The hybrid option exists for the first month. Both kids have excelled in both environments but they truly can't wait to be back in school full time. Aubrey has two teachers (Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Langlois) and switches for subjects and Avery is in a self contained class this year (Mrs. Phillips). We are looking forward to a great year!
We had a great time at Uncle Brian's and Cathy's house for Labor Day weekend. We loved seeing where they lived and they really prepared a great visit for us. Some highlights were rafting on the river, visiting a beautiful winery, feeding goats, making homemade oreos and thin mint cookies and so much more. Aubrey was in dog heaven too!!
In September, we survived another tropical storm which brought about 15 inches of rain to Pearland. The kids had 2 days off of school and definitely had fun trudging through the water. Hopefully no more storms this year!
In October Poppy and Grammy came for a visit to help Tessa with homeschooling during the week. On the weekends we visited with Poppy and Grammy. Some highlights were painting Avery's room and going out to eat and playing at the park.
The girls are turning 9 this year! Hard to believe. They were so excited to plan for their slime and Descendant's themed birthday sleepover party. They had so much fun and it was the best seeing the excitement in their eyes. Overall the party was a huge success. They celebrated their birthday on the 14th and had a great day.
Grammy and Poppy came to help me at the end of October and early November because I had a second knee surgery. We were so thankful for their help. Highlights were Halloween, slime making, a family Thanksgiving, and lots of games, and love.
