In August, we were lucky enough to go to Disneyland in CA. None of us had ever been, so it was a real treat. The girls are dare devils and loved the rides. We had so much fun.
Back to school...First grade, I can hardly believe it. The girls are excited to be back with friends and are ready for all that the year has ahead, except for maybe homework! The girls have fabulous teachers and we are very excited for them. Aubrey decided she wanted to play soccer and Avery decided on playing basketball again for the fall. Looks like we will have a fun few months ahead!
July 2018:
July 4th Fun: It is so nice that the three girl cousins live so close that they get to see each other regularly. Tessa is a joy and the girls absolutely love her to pieces. We enjoyed our evening at a close friend's house and there were five girls total. What a great day!
Visit with the Hamner Family: We were so excited to welcome Liz and Ron and their two sweet daughters Kate and Ellie to our house this July. Liz is my childhood best friend and some things never change even as you age. Ron is Liz's perfect match and their children are just precious.
Ear Piercing: The girls were so very excited to get their ears pierced. We were going to wait for their birthday but they were just so excited about it for two weeks and we took advantage of being spontaneous on July afternoon. The girls were tough and they were over the moon about having their ears pierced. They have grown up so much this past year....this momma can't handle it!
August 2018:
Disneyland: We were so excited to meet up and have dinner with our cousin John and his wife Amanda and their daughter Lauren. Lauren is one year older than the girls and after they broke the ice, they were best friends!
First day of 1st grade: Wow, I can hardly believe it! First grade hit me like going to college! Hahahaha. These precious, sweet girls are ready to take on the world!
Happy 14th anniversary to one amazing husband!
Cousin play date ending with Tex Mex! |
This is a special picture because not only did Avery read the entire book all on her own, but Gramma got the girls this book because it was one of her favorites. A sweet memory for me. |
