May - June 2025

May seems to come by so fast after Christmas because it means the end of the school year. It happens in a blink of an eye anymore! Aubrey and Avery had a great school year and tried new activities such as athletics, sports, and choir. Avery was inducted into National Junior Honor Society and Aubrey received a reward from choir - most improved. They finished the year with a strong ending and awards that continue to make us proud of all their hard work during the year. Ky'Leigh finished the first grade and is working hard in school. It is hard to believe that the school year is near done and we are heading into summer!

Mother's Day - I ended up having surgery late April and had to swap work schedules to work Mother's Day weekend. However, my family spoils me nonstop so it is just a reminder of how blessed I am and will enjoy any time I can get with them. Since I worked, we decided to have some girl time together at a future time. They did meet me for dinner at a restaurant near work, so it was good to see them for a little bit on the weekend. I'l take any minute I can get!

May finished up with a great trip visiting with our favorite friends: the Hamner family. We went to Brehnam and visited the Blue Bell Factory and stayed at Milk and Honey Ranch. It was a perfect weekend hanging out playing and catching up. Some highlights were spending all day at the pool and lake, a huge inflatable water slide, the water trampoline, paddle board, peddleboating, smores, and fellowship. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend.

June kicked off summer with a busy schedule. Ky'Leigh has summer school Monday through Thursday in the mornings and the girls have strength and conditioning camp and in the afternoons have volleyball camp and/or cheer practice. They both went to Crosspoint Church camp and had a blast. I'm so excited that they get to enjoy these camps and make memories that last a life time. Next up was cheer camp for Avery and Victory Camp for Aubrey.  Aubrey enjoyed her camp with her friend and Avery enjoyed cheer camp and made the All American cheer team. All so much summer fun. Of course this is all scattered with lots of friend time, pool time, relaxation, and all the things teens enjoy doing before they have to work for the summer! Living their best life! We enjoyed celebrating Father's Day on the actual day by going to the beach with friends and another day going a virtual golf experience as a family. Overall, it was a great start to the summer.
