March was a fun month from beginning to end. Of course, we have to go to the Rodeo in March - it wouldn't be Texas without visiting the rodeo! Grammy came with us and experienced her first Texas rodeo! The other two highlights were spring break and a trip to NY to watch the girls sing at Carnegie Hall. Spring break we decided to do a staycation and blend some relaxation time with friends and going out on mini trips to get out and have fun. The girls enjoyed some rest and relaxation and sleepovers. We spent two days at the beach in Galveston and fun exploring Pleasure Pier and having time at the beach. Jay and I got to sit in chairs with a sweatshirt on while the kids surfed waves. It was all pretty perfect! The girls had a friend stay over with us at the beach and the second day we added another family which always makes things more fun with friends. We finished off our time at the beach with Rita's Italian Ice. We also visited Great Wolf Lodge for the first time and enjoyed that day as well. Overall, we had a great spring break with lots of fun and relaxation.
At the end of March the kids left for a trip to NY to sing at Carnegie Hall. The choir group from our local junior high schools had the opportunity of a lifetime. They spent 5 days in NY and lived their best life! It was so awesome and we were so proud of them. Jay and I enojyed a quick 3 day visit which was perfect for some date time and visiting with Mary, Hal, Joel, Leah, Phoenix, and Izzy. What a great ending to the month.
In April we finished off our last volleyball tournament. It was a great season and we saw some big improvements for both Aubrey and Avery. Next up, Avery went to Waco for State FPS to compete. We can't wait to see how their team scores and see if they go to internationals FPS this year or not. In April we celebrated Easter with Nana and Grandpa and had a great time making memories shopping, playing games, and celebrating Easter together. All the things were great!
