July - August 2025

July started off with the girls attending a week-long church camp which they had a blast. I’m so excited they have such great opportunities to have fun and grow closer to Jesus. We celebrated July 4th at Independence Park with fireworks and it’s always an amazing show. We hung out with friends and we had a great time. Next up was a trip to San Diego. Unfortunately, Avery had the flu for the trip and Aubrey probably had COVID but we tried to make the best of it. Avery missed most of the trip and spent it in bed but Aubrey and Ky'Leigh got to enjoy most of it. We explored Old Town San Diego, La Jolla, Piney Woods Trails, Point Loma, and went to Sea World. All in all, it was a great trip minus having a sick sweet girl who couldn't join us for most of the fun.

Next up was Lemonade Weekend for Isaiah House. This year we had 25 lemonade stands, had over 2,000 visitors and raised almost $25,000! Wozers! What a huge success. It was a fun weekend to remember and will serve to change the way foster care begins! Before lemonade weekend was completed, we jumped on a plane to PA to visit the family. First stop was WildWood Beach, NJ. We enjoyed a few days on the beach, board walk, and summer life with Nana, Grandpa, Aunt Leah, Uncle Joel and cousins Pheonix and Izzy. It was so much fun! Then we ventured to Allentown where we enjoyed time together including Dorney Park and a relaxation day at the home wrapping up with a final dinner with extended family too. It was a great trip with good memories.

The summer comes to a close and we end with a bang: Prayer Walk for Schools 2025. This is our third annual school prayer walk. We had 74 campuses, over 70 churches/organizations, and over 1,000 people praying on school campuses. It was an incredible day. The rally set the tone by having a student led prayer rally that included 6 personal testimonies and student led worship and students praying. Aubrey had the closing prayer. We had roughly 350 people attend the rally. It was very encouraging to see students share their faith with the community.

Before we knew it the summer had come to an end and we kicked off the next school year: 8th grade. The girls are ready for an exciting year. Avery is involved in cheer and volleyball and varsity choir. Aubrey is involved in library aide, varsity choir, student worship at church, discipleship, and CITY leader. It is going to be a great year!
